Middle School Student Essay Contest - 2021
iLearn World's essay contest provides an opportunity for middle schoolers to gain writing experience, as well as potential cash prizes, teacher classroom funds, and a copy of book

by Yale Admitted Students. The contest will be open to 7th and 8th graders from December 31st, 2020 until April 20th, 2021. The prompt for 2021 is below:
Online vs. In-person Learning: Which is Better?
Write an essay which answers this question through argumentative, narrative, or creative writing. You may use researched evidence, personal experience, or a fictional story, whichever resonates most with you!
Essays will be judged and ranked by iLearn World's Ivy-League college student mentors. Student winners will receive the following prizes on May 12th:
- 1st place: $100
- 2nd-5th place: $50/student
- 6th-15th: $20/student
- Finalists: 10 students will receive a copy of The Road to Yale
*The 1st place winner will have the opportunity to nominate their English or Humanities teacher for the iLearn World Teacher of the Year Award, which will provide $100 for classroom supplies.
